The damping plates for the Picatinny rails perform two tasks. First, they allow you to increase the height of your Picatinny rails. Secondly, you reduce the vibrations of the crossbow on your sight.

Hint: When using the damping plates, the screws must be replaced with the longer screws supplied. The two longer screws are inserted on the right side on the magazine.
